Day 10: Venlo

Great day today! Sun finally came out. I got to sleep in a bit, had a good breakfast (love my chocolate sprinkles on toast), and then we got on the bikes. We took the Maashopper which is a ferry that goes up and down the River Maas. We rode about an hour and we got off and started riding. Just beautiful small villages and small paths and roads. We went to the National Asparagus and Mushroom Musuem and had a lunch of asparagus soup and bacon pancakes which are more like thick crepes. Really good but filling. The museum was like an old Conner Prairie/history museum about Dutch farming. Lots to see, so it was actually pretty interesting. After that we biked to a rose garden which will be really pretty in a few weeks. Then we biked past a castle and the count was home so he gave us a tour. It was built in 1555. Then more biking to a deeeeelicious ice cream shop. The mocha ice cream treat was awesome. Now we are back on the boat heading back to Venlo. Dinner at six then off to hear an a capella choir from st. Petersburg. We biked 17 miles today and had a great time. Very good day!!

Tomorrow is a vocational day. I go to Eindhoven. Then we present to RC Venlo Peel en Maas that night.
